Article featuring Bad Mamasan in China's Metal Mag

As ususal, the summer brings out the travel in us wanting to get some peace and fresh air as well as a great time to come up with some new stuff. Hot polluted air is nothing to write home about! Expect heavier sounds in the near future. We may pop up mid summer at a fest but other than that, it’s Thailand, Sweden, and a few other choice spots to depressurize.

In the meantime, we are working with a friend on a video as well as I have discovered some good video on Youku, China’s Youtube. Funny thing is that you can’t stream it outside of mainland China…hahaha….you need a VPN and actually connect to here… who would have thought!

Sorry the site has been quiet but sometimes shit’s just a bit too busy here in the Jing which simply just makes for being lazy so there it is. Here’s the news:

• We are still chuggin’ along and writing new tunes. Of course, we are always updating our “Classics” to keep in shape (reminds you of where you are coming from without straying out of bounds) and to keep our drinking audiences happy. Remember, we are doin a Party! Banging out the classics is still a riot for us…. also a little bit of a cheat when getting the locals around here in the Jing in the party mood….

• Also a little news and change to come…. As things go here with expat life, success often brings a really packed schedule, usually with a lot of travel. Our drummer and good friend Toby Larsson is faced with a super busy schedule which limits his availability for the band so we are actively looking for a new drummer that can commit to lots of rehearsal and some travel as well. As he is foremost, our friend, he will stay with us in the interim while we search. I am sure filling his shoes will be a challenge. So here it is:

• We are looking for a heavy metal animal for a drummer. Double kick skills are a must. We prefer that he be Chinese. Having an all expat band here in China is limiting some of our opportunities. If you know anyone that may be interested, please mail us at badmamasan@gmail.com
