Bad Mamasan was the brainchild of Jaime Welton in the summer of 2007 after the popular AC/DC cover band “Dirty Deeds” finally closed up shop. As a performing metal musician for over 25 years, he was itching to play a bunch of his favorite classics for the Beijing audiences who had only have the more death or thrash metal genres to go see. The entire spectrum of the music that was the forerunner for these genres was totally absent from the scene.

Jaime recruited bass player Tobi Demker and budding drummer, Alex Ramsey, for the job. At first, the show was completely comprised of covers of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, and the like which was a lot of fun for the trio and their audiences but there was a plan behind this…..play the music you love and the originals will follow, naturally imbeded with the influences of what you cover….Bad Mamasan’s influences are of the original greats of heavy metal history…..how can you go wrong??!!

在受欢迎的Dirty Deeds乐队（专演AC/DC的作品）解散之后，坏妈妈桑是Jaime Welton在2007年夏天的心血结晶。 作为一位有25年专业演出金属音乐的艺术家，他热切地想为北京观众演出一些他自己非常喜欢的经典金属乐。在那时北京只有死亡和捶打金属风格，而这些风格的前驱经典金属乐在整个北京的音乐圈还是一个缺陷。

Jaime找到了贝司手Tobi Demker和刚展露头角的鼓手Alex Ramsey组建了乐队。 起初，每场演出都是表演Black Sabbath,Judas Priest,Iron Maiden,Deep Purple等类型的音乐，这个三人演出团体从演出和观众的支持中得到了很多乐趣。在此之后一个计划开始酝酿…..玩你所热爱的歌曲，很自然地慢慢受此影响，自己的原创歌曲也随之而来。坏妈妈桑受伟大重金属乐历史的影响怎么能出错呢？ ？!!

After a year and a bit of tearing up stages with the covers, Alex had to depart the band as she was creating something else which we all now know as her and her husband’s beautiful new baby rocker, Jasper! Here she is attending the first Bad Mamasan show with the new drummer.

At this point, Toby Larsson was recruited to fill the spot and the band had a re-birth in 2010, this time injecting originals into the set.

As 2010 rolled on, the balance has been weighing heavier and heavier on the originals side with the ultimate goal of launching a CD in the beginning of 2011……….and the saga continues…..Hail the Heavy!!!

随着2010过去，乐队的重心越来越偏向原创，并且全力以赴计划在2011年初发布他们的专辑。故事仍在继续，金属万岁！！

After the CD release and a few shows, as things go here with expat life, success in the day job often brings a really packed schedule, usually with a lot of travel. Our drummer and good friend Toby Larsson was faced with a super busy schedule which limited his availability for the band. We were forced to yet again look for someone to take over this duty, this time requiring that the new drummer really hold down the position with a true commitment to absolute metal which really proved to be quite the search. Spring and Summer went by, auditions were held but not satisfied, hope was starting to fade and then…. Bang!, a drummer hailing from France hit the spot. A ferocious, hard hitting drummer with chops to spare for another 5 drummers or more, Nico Mege has filled the void. Bad Mamasan is now at it’s most healthy point ever. Bad Mamasan has reignited once again and ready to pound the shit of any ears within the blast zone. Upward and Onward!
